Am gasit un site dragut unde ne povestesc cum sa ne facem noi singurei obiective Tilt-Shift. DIY la el acasa, eu o sa incerc ca nu pare foarte greu iar materialele folosite nu-s asa de greu de gasit.

Uite si un filmulet facut cu un obiectiv “tunat”.

Canon – cel mai mare senzor CMOS

Au facut-o si pe asta, dar nu avem noi obiective/body-uri asa de mari .

August 31, 2010 – Canon Inc. announced today that it has successfully developed the world’s largest^*1 CMOS image sensor, with a chip size measuring 202 x 205 mm. The sensor is capable of capturing images in one one-hundredth the amount of light required by a professional-model digital SLR camera due to its expanded size enabling greater light-gathering capabilities. Potential applications for the new high-sensitivity CMOS sensor include the video recording of stars in the night sky and nocturnal animal behavior.

At 202 x 205 mm, the newly developed CMOS sensor is among the largest chips that can be produced from a 12-inch (300 mm) wafer, and is approximately 40 times the size of Canon’s largest commercial CMOS sensor.

Carl Zeiss a anuntat Distagon T* 1,4/35, un obiectiv la un pret recomandat de 1390E fara TVA. Va sosi pe piata la inceputul lui 2011.

In comunicatul de presa cu acest obiectiv spun ca Distagon T* 1,4/35 va completa prime-urile de 1.4 – Planar T*1,4/50 si T*1,4/85. Ne promit un obiectiv sharp cu niste calitati optice exceptionale la care subliniaza “special bokeh effects” si “bright light sources without artifacts”.

Pretul la care il vom putea cumpara ar fi de 3 ori mai mare decat cel pentru Sigma EX 30mm/f1.4 (de exemplu), dar nu cred ca performantele obiectivului vor fi de 3 ori mai mari, punand in balanta si lipsa autofocus-ului. Au promis monturi Canon si Nikon pana acum…

Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM

Canon a lansat un fisheye la aproximativ 1800E.

When paired with Canon’s full-frame DSLR bodies, such as the
EOS 5D Mark II or the EOS -1Ds Mark III, professional photographers can choose to capture circular or full-frame fisheye images, allowing them to view a scene in a completely new and unique way. This new level of choice provides enhanced creative flexibility when shooting scenes such as the night sky, where the full 180º horizontal and vertical fields of view (FOV) allow every detail to be captured with incredible clarity in one single image.

When used with EOS bodies featuring APS-C or APS-H sensors, the
EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM produces a more traditional, full frame fisheye view. A zoom-lock mechanism on the lens body allows the range to be limited to the focal length that ensures the best possible full-frame view without unsightly vignetting around the edge. ‘C’ and ‘H’ markings can be found next to the zoom operation ring, indicating the wide-angle zoom position where vignette-free shooting is possible with either sensor, allowing photographers to achieve optimum results with any EOS body.

Nikon a anuntat D3100, o varianta rafinata a D3000-ului, chiar un upgrade consistent al acestuia!
- 14.2 megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor
- 3.0″ LCD monitor (230,000 dots)
- Image sensor cleaning (sensor shake)
- 11 AF points (with 3D tracking)
- IS0 100-3200 range (12,800 expanded)
- HD movies (1080, 720p or WVGA)

D3100 creste rezolutia cu 4.2MP, poate RAW, poti conecta GPS, live view, 1080HD, iesire HDMI, ISO mai generos, Full time AF (pentru live view), focus screen imbunatatit. Nikon uimeste cu capabilitatile pe care le impacheteaza in DSLR-urile low entry, D3000-ul s-a vandut foarte bine, la fel ca D60(x)-ul pe care il inlocuia.

Primul aparat low entry foarte accesibil al celor de la Nikon a fost D40-ul care a avut un succes enorm, neegalat inca de rivali.

Pe dpreview este hands-on review-ul si restul care arata ca EOS 60D este un “Super Rebel” si nu o continuare a seriei x0D. Parerea mea este ca au ales gresit directia cu modelul asta, caracteristici cum ar fi carcasa din plastic si nu din aliaj de magneziu ca pana acum, ecranul rabatabil, renuntarea la CF-uri vor pune pe ganduri pe cei care au cumparat pana acum seria mid-range x0D de la Canon, reorientandu-se la 7D sau la predecesorii acestuia.

Exista posibilitatea ca cei de la Canon sa isi realinieze produsele din seria EOS, 7D-ul si 60D-ul sa acopere niste gauri pe care concurenta le ofera deja…

Litepanels MicroPro Hybrid

Litepanels a lansat MicroPro Hybrid, marketat ca prima lumina profesionala cu LED-uri.

MicroPro Hybrid are doua moduri de lucru, poate fi folosit ca blitz (flash) sau in mod continuu, aplicabil pentru utilizarea in fotografie sau in modul filmare al noilor camere DSLR.

Functionarea acestuia este asigurata de baterii 6 baterii AA si ofera pana la 5 – 6 ore de functionare. Alimentarea acestuia se poate face si de la un alimentator extern sau un pachet extern de baterii. Pe carcasa acestuia este prezent si un potentiometru pentru ajustarea luminozitatii acestuia iar pentru o mai mare versatilitate pe MicroPro Hybrid se pot monta filtre de gel, in pachet primiti 3 filtre. Aceste filtre se pot pune pe spatele panoului de led-uri intr-o montura speciala atunci cand nu le folositi. Tot in pachet este inclus si un cablu sincron pentru blitz.

Pentru un pret care porneste de la 200 GBP Litepanels este destul de scump. Pe ebay se gasesc echipamente asemanatoare cu preturi intre 20 si 100 USD, pentru 50USD puteti sa va achizitionati asa ceva de pe ebay, mai jos un review:

Novoflex a anuntat disponibilitatea unui nou adaptor pentru a folosi toate tipurile de obiective de la Nikon, chiar si cele din seria G pe orice body Canon EOS.

Noul adaptor este anuntat ca fiind fabricat la standarde inalte pentru a asigura posibilitatea de a focaliza la infinit, EOS/NIK-NT permite calcularea automata a expunerii prin stop-down metering si permite controlul diafragmei pentru obiectivele din seria G prin un levier aflat in lateralul acestuia.

Novoflex mai are adaptoare pentru obiective Leica, Hasselblad, Pentax si Mamiya pentru camere SLR si DSLR, chiar si pentru Samsung NX.

Canon EOS 7D Firmware 1.2.2

Canon has issued a firmware update for the Canon EOS 7D digital SLR camera. Version 1.2.2 incorporates the following fixes.

1. Fixes a phenomenon in which the set aperture moves when shooting movies in manual exposure mode using some Canon lenses (such as macro lenses).
2. Fixes the AF point-selection behaviour of the C.Fn III-7 (Manual AF pt. selec. pattern) custom function when set to [1].
3. Fixes the AF point display for the viewfinder electronic level when shooting in the vertical position.
4. Corrects misspellings in the Spanish and Thai menus for applicable products.

Tokina 16-28mm f2.8 pentru Canon si Nikon

Tokina SD 16-28mm f2.8 (IF) FX, vazut pentru prima oara la PMA 2010, va fi disponibil pentru Canon si Nikon la sfasitul verii.
Pentru Nikon va fi lansat pe data de 6 august, iar pentru Canon a fost anuntat mijlocul lunii septembrie.

Canon EOS Rebel T2i / 550D Firmware 1.0.8

Firmware version 1.0.8 for the EOS Rebel T2i / 550D DSLR camera has been released, incorporating the following fixes.
- Fixes a phenomenon in which the set aperture moves unexpectedly when shooting movies in manual exposure mode using some Canon lenses (such as macro lenses).
The Version 1.0.8 firmware is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.0.7. If the camera’s firmware is already Version 1.0.8, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Canon EOS-1D Mark IV Firmware 1.0.8

Firmware version 1.0.8 for the Canon EOS-1D Mark IV has been released, incorporating the following fixes.
- Fixes a phenomenon in which the set aperture moves unexpectedly when shooting movies in manual exposure mode using some Canon lenses (such as macro lenses).
- Corrects misspellings in the French and Spanish menus for applicable products.
The Version 1.0.8 firmware is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.0.6. If the camera’s firmware is already Version 1.0.8, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Note that cameras with the Version 1.0.8 firmware cannot be downgraded to a previous firmware version (such as Version 1.0.6).
