Canon EOS 550D – revolutia megapixelilor

Nu a trecut nici macar un an de la lansarea lui 500D iar Canon a facut, din nou, dupa parerea mea o miscare mai putin inspirata aruncand pe senzorul lui Canon EOS 550D nu mai mult de 18 megapixeli.

Dupa aparitia lui 550D sa va asteptati la o ieftinire a liniei curente, 500D-ul si la posibilitatea ca 450D-ul sa iasa din productie. Canon EOS 550D este fratele mai mic al lui Canon EOS 7D, un preview mai detaliat evident pe site-ul dPreview.

Pachetul lui 550D este destul de atractiv, Canon s-a simtit amenintat probabil de competitie si nu s-a mai zgarcit cand a venit vorba de feature-uri. 18megapixeli, Full HD la 30FPS cu control manual si microfon stereo, plus sistemul de metering de la 7D si ISO automat.

Fiecare versiune noua a seriei Rebel (xx0D) a adus 2-3 megapixeli suplimentari, ma astept ca EOS 600D sa ofere cel putin 20 mp si mai mult zgomot ca celelalte, amintiti-va ca mai multi megapixeli inseamna zgomot mai mult pe langa libertatea crop-ului.

Filmuletul se numeste “Dublin’s People”.

I took the Canon 7d, Zacuto Tactical rig, Z-Finder V2 and one lone lens, a Canon 35mm f1.4, which becomes more like a 50mm lens on the 7d. So a bit like what I did with Sofia’s People (but I didn’t have the Zacuto rig for that).
I shot 1/50th of a second as I was shooting 24p and to match the 50hz frequency of the artificial all around me in Temple Bar.
I also shot some stuff 720p 50p with shutter at 1/100th to get the slow motion shots of the juggler which were conformed to 23.98p in Cinema tools to create the beautiful slow motion.
